Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan
"Baby" Williams previously spoke on Lil Wayne's
decision to ignore past diss records from 50 Cent and his
artist's main focus.
In
some newly released footage, which was likely recorded around summer 2008, Baby
addressed Wayne's
attention on generating profits and avoiding outside controversy.
"We got money man,"
Baby explained. "We on islands and jets f*cking h*es. We ain't trippin'
off petty sh*t. We got money. Ain't ever a dark day in my life, why won't I go
spend 250 right now, I'll burn that b*tch...We just did a deal for a 100 mil,
we got money for real. It ain't no game. We ain't got time for bullsh*t. We
getting money man. We go to the studio that's money, that's like $20 million.
When I hit your town they pay 250 just to say they saw us...We been through the
wars, I got scars from wars. Get with that anytime, but lets get with this
money sh*t, that's what's up...Me and my son are rich for real, that's why I
won't entertain bullsh*t...Today, I'm the only n*gga in the industry, me, my
son and my brother that own everything, nobody owns nothin'. We 100 percent in
this b*tch, we make more than they make." (SmackTube)
Along with making disses towards Weezy in a
past King Magazine interview and his song "Part Time Lover"
both around 2007, Fif called out the rapper in the song "Try Me"
earlier this year.
"Fat f*ck playing Wii
Fit Nintendo/Have another tattoo, here's another tattoo," 50 rapped
referring to Rick Ross. "Run into my goons soon, have a
new bullet wound/Officer Ricky, radio for backup/See ya a** anyway, you know
I'm gon' act up/You wanna play with me when I don't wanna play/Have my n*ggas
whip the skin off ya a** all day...This n*gga's an appetizer. Where you at Wayne? You the full
course meal, Wayne.
You awfully quiet." ("Try Me")
Baby has expressed his close relationship
with Wayne and
recently justified their "mafia" kiss from 2006.
"That's my son, ya heard
me," he explained in an interview. "If he was right here, I'd kiss
him again. I kiss my daughter, my other son, I mean, you have children? Well,
if you did you'd understand what I meant with it. I just think people took that
too far man. That's my son. I'll do it again tomorrow, I'll kill for him. Ride
and die for him." (Tim Westwood TV)
In addition to working with Wayne on music, the duo reportedly have a
film coming out together this summer.
"Me and Wayne just
finished this movie, Like Father, Like Son, that's coming out in June
and the album coming out at the same time," Baby said in an interview.
"That's what we do. Just me being myself. I just wanted to, it's something
we wanted to fund. It's ours...So, it's really what it is, like father, like
son," Baby added. "Normal day growing up in New Orleans, you know. Hood rich." (Power

News: T.I. Associate Alfamega Worked As DEA
Informant, Leaked Records ID Rapper
Written by Cyrus Langhorne

Records have leaked online that reveal T.I.'s
artist, Cedric "Alfamega" Zellars, as a one time
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informant and government witness.
According
to a report from The Smoking Gun, Grand Hustle's Alfamega worked with the DEA
in the mid-1990's.
Court records show that
Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in
September 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior
felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover
federal agent). Zellars "agreed to cooperate with authorities and was
debriefed" about the criminal activity of several individuals. "In
particular he was debriefed concerning the drug trafficking activities of a Mr.
Ali Baaqar," according to a government court filing.
During his cooperation against Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a
federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial. "Ali Baaqar was
convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin based upon the trial testimony of
[Zellars] and others." In return for his snitching, Zellars had 18 months
shaved off his prison term when he was resentenced in July 1997 by Judge J.
Owen Forrester. (The Smoking Gun)
While the topic of snitching is taken
seriously within the hip-hop community, T.I. previously addressed detractors
who called him a snitch for appearing in an ATL Crime Stoppers PSA last year.
"I ain't trippin',"
Tip said. "Can't nobody challenge my integrity...I ain't told nobody to go
and get yourself in trouble and tell on somebody to get yourself out of
trouble. I said man, if there's an old lady walking down the street and you see
her getting knocked down and beat up, call somebody and do something about it.
I don't see that as snitching man, I see that as being responsible for your neighborhood.
Anybody who disagree, so be it. They can shove it up they a** sideways if they
don't like it. I don't care." (SOHH)
However, Bang Bang Boogie's Mysonne
said Tip's actions were not justified.
"Any time a n*gga that
advocates that he is the king, that he is the streets, that he is a trap star,
that he glorified how he got here, that he grinded and he never did this and
all this sh*t any time a n*gga do that and he get up here and make a Crime
Stoppers commercial, them n*ggas made you sell your soul," Mysonne said in
a video. "The police utilized you. They took you and made you a
motherf*cking tool." (SOHH TV)
Alfa previously reached out to SOHH
to speak about his upcoming debut album and how he linked with Tip.
"I got with Tip, we did
a handshake deal, never signed no contracts or nothing," Alfamega
explained. "The Capitol deal came about because me and him had a
discussion about me being as big as he is and it wouldn't be feasible to either
one of us to go through Atlantic." T.I.
helped the rapper secure a deal with Capitol Records through his own label,
Grand Hustle. (SOHH)
News: Dr. Dre Makes Rap Return, "I'm
Still Hungry & I'm Back" [Audio]

Renowned producer Dr. Dre has
emerged from the shadows via Eminem's new song "Old
Time's Sake" building anticipation for his long-awaited release, Detox.
While
Dre doesn't directly refer to his upcoming album, the legendary producer uses
Em's Relapse track to display his rhyming scheme and remind fans of
his "hunger."
"I'm Dre from/Back in
the day from," he rapped. "NWA from/Packin' the grey
from/Choking a b*tch, to smackin' her face from/Stackin' up bodies to backin'
the K's up/From rackin' up hits to stackin' them crates up/I'm still hungry and
I'm back with a tape worm/And where what was happenin' and rappin' and tamin'
me and Shady/Far as competition, f*ggot there ain't none...Now put your smoke
up in the air and raise your Henny and coke/And if you really wanna get f*cked
up just let me know/We can smoke 'til there's no more lighter fluid to do
it/Let's get into it/You're smoking the tritest and truest/I got the mightest touch
when it comes to rolling sh*t up/You motherf*ckers ain't smokin', you just
rollin' sh*t up/Now here we go/Let's get up, get down/Hold up a blunt, I smoke
the stuff that make the records go No. 1/'Cause if at first you don't
succeed/Won't hurt to smoke some weed/It's just a little more personal for
me/Seeing how I blew up from smoking those trees." ("Old Time's
Sake")
Originally slated to debut today (May 5), the
song was leaked online Monday morning.
The song wasn't supposed to
drop until Tuesday, but you know how these things go. With such high-profile
artists as Eminem and Dr. Dre, there's no such thing as releasing music on its
proper date. The latest track off of Slim Shady's upcoming Relapse,
"Old Time's Sake," has already leaked online. (MTV)
Aftermath/Shady's 50 Cent recently
video recorded Dre from his studio promising Detox was on its way.
"Dr motherf*cking Dre in
the background, look at that sh*t," Fif said. "There it is ladies and
gentlemen, D-r-e. Live in Detroit,
makin' 50 Cent's new record.
This sh*t is gonna be crazy baby...Doing it,
crazy, Detox, oh my God. You n*ggas better be ready. It's definitely
going down. 50 cam, baby." (This Is 50)
Interscope head Jimmy Iovine
previously said Dre's album was placed on hold due to Em's Relapse.
"We only tried to put
[Em] out this year to replace Dr. Dre, but we got into a quagmire," Iovine
explained. "Eminem was always coming next year. But what happened was, I
lost Dr. Dre to Eminem. Dre had to stop making his album to finish Eminem's
album. Eminem hit a streak, and when a guy like Eminem gets on fire, you stop
everything. That's how we lost Dre." (Billboard)
